About Us

The Stage Dance Company offers dance classes for beginning through advanced dancers ranging from ages 2 to 18. We are committed to helping children of all ages discover their full potential not only as a dancer, but as a people. Our goal is for students to express themselves freely in a safe environment while learning proper dance techniques.

Class Descriptions

• CREATIVE MOVEMENT: 2-3 year olds are introduced to the fundamentals of ballet technique with a combination of creative movement. Proper vocabulary for dance steps are introduced. Gross motor skills, rhythm, coordination, stretching, listening skills, and class structure knowledge is developed. This class will help develop listening skills, respect, and self-confidence.

• KINDER : Our kinder class is open to all 3-4-year-old students. It combines Pre-Ballet, and Tumbling into one class. Through dance, children will enhance their sense of rhythm, nurture their creative abilities, refine their motor skills, and improve their coordination.
  

• ACRO: Helps to develop strength, gymnastic skills, endurance, and flexibility. This class is offered to students who are 4 years of age or older.

• JAZZ: An evolving form of dance based on technique, using isolations, rhythms, and contrasting movements. Steps are based on mostly parallel positions of the legs. Jazz emphasizes the downbeat of movement. Includes styles such as latin, funk, and pop

• LEAP. TURN, JUMP: This class focuses on strict technique to help the dancer achieve their fullest potential. This class includes a warm-up focused on strength, conditioning, and flexibility. The rest of the class is focused on learning new turns, leaps, and jumps!

• COMBO CLASS: This class will give dancers the opportunity to explore various choreographic sequences that fuse different dance styles. These combinations will challenge dancers to adapt to different rhythms, dynamics, and movement qualities, fostering versatility and creative expression.
